EasyCourseBuilder Tutorial

Let us assume you have saved a document for each course module on this computer. The document file names will be used as the module titles. If the file name includes a number in brackets e.g. "Module 1 (30)" then this will be used to set the module length in minutes (otherwise you can set the time later. Module lengths and start times must be multiples of 5 minutes.) Assume that theoretical modules have been saved in a folder named "Theory", and practical session are in a folder "Practice". We want to alternate between theory and practice.

Open the two document folders so that you can see both the document files and the Easy Course Builder window. To start a schedule you can either drag the document icon for the first module in your course onto the timeline (just above the ruler representing hours of the day) at the starting time, or you can edit the session start time as required, then drag the first module into the schedule (large box under the ruler).

Drag the document icon for subsequent modules onto the timeline at specific times, or drop them into the schedule box to add to the list. Sessions will be automatically colour coded according to their source folder.

Amend the colour and module length after dropping, if required. Modules dropped into the schedule box will be inserted after the currently selected module. You can also drag the module along the timeline to a new start time. Insert breaks or sessions with no documentation using the Insert buttons, after editing the descriptions and times as required.
